Teak is naturally rich in oils that protect it outdoors. Left untreated, it will weather to an attractive silver-grey patina. To keep the honey colour, clean and apply a teak protector once or twice a year. Clean with a soft brush and mild soapy water, working along the grain, then rinse and let dry. Avoid pressure washers, which can raise the grain.
